Get Your Calling Started in September
Start your calling right after Labor Day. This has been very successful for us for a number of reasons. For one, it allows us to start selling wine sooner. But it also gives us time to call and make sure we have the most up-to-date customer information. It’s much better to take care of simple things like a new customer address now than it is in the middle of November. There’s also a good chance they’ll receive their wine, drink it, and need more by the time holiday festivities roll around. By calling in September, you’re also more likely to reach your customers before other wineries do. If they don’t have time to talk just yet, or aren’t ready to buy wine, there’s still plenty of time to schedule another call at a later date.
Calling early may not sound like a big deal, but it really means you’ll have better customer information to work from in the later months, and you’ll get more customers coming back to purchase more too. Get your calling started early and you’ll see a huge difference in your holiday sales.
